Who we are
Centrum Transferu i Promocji Technologii Sp. z o.o. (CTiPT) is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) established to develop, test, and implement innovative technology for the utilization of methane from mine ventilation air.
The key assumption of the project was to convert thermal energy from methane oxidation reactions into process cooling, used to air-condition mining areas in mines.
Project objectives and implementation
Vampire project
The objectives of CTiPT's activities were successfully achieved as part of a research and implementation project:
” Hybrid underground installation for exergetic utilization of methane from ventilation air in mining excavations and their air conditioning (VAMPiRE)
This project led to the creation of a functioning technology that combines methane emission reduction with heat recovery and its conversion into process cooling.
Financial support
and strategic implementation
We support the transformation of Europe's energy system
CTiPT developed and implemented a comprehensive project launch strategy based on obtaining financial support from the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) as part of:
- Measures 1.1.1. of the Intelligent Development Operational Program 2014–2020.
- Priority axis: Support for R&D activities carried out by enterprises.
- Sub-measure: Industrial research and development work carried out by enterprises.
- Grant application number: POIR.01.01.01-00-1096/17.
The company received PLN 15.5 million in funding, with estimated eligible costs of approximately PLN 21 million. This level of support was possible thanks to the innovative nature of the technology and its strategic importance in the context of European Union priorities, including the European Green Deal, the Energy Efficiency Policy, and the REPowerEU program, which aims to transform Europe's energy system towards low-carbon and energy safety.

A team of technical specialists, scientists, and project managers enabled the transition from a research concept to a fully operational solution in industrial conditions.
